Tricky Dieting

Have you ever thought to yourself, "I've been on a diet for 3 weeks now and I haven't lost a single gram", well maybe you're doing some of the following diet- don'ts..

1. Diet sodaSoda is never good for you, but diet sodas create more insulin in your body, which means more sugar. Diet soda also inhibits the hormone leptin, which regulates your metabolism and appetite. Try a glass of water with your meal instead.

2. PretzelsYou may think they’re better than potato chips, but they’re made with enriched white flour and loaded with carbohydrates, a big diet no-no.

3. Fruit juicesThese can contain high amounts of sugar. And depending on the brand, some may only have 5 percent natural fruit juice. Eat your fruits rather than drink them. Two servings of citrus a day provides your body with D-Limonene, which has been shown to promote the detoxification of estrogen.

4. Salad kitsSalad dressings can add hundreds of calories and more fat than you need to consume in one day. Lighter varieties are better.

5. Reduced-fat peanut butterA reduced-fat version seems like a great idea, but the fat that is removed is replaced with fillers, with no reduction in calories. Using a bit less of the full-fat version is the healthiest choice.

6. Poultry hot dogsAll hot dogs include skin and fat, even those made from poultry. Try a low-fat or fat-free dog as a lower-calorie alternative for your cookouts.

7. Cereal barsYou can find plenty of cereal bars that are low in fat and calories, but you have to look. Many are high in sugar and saturated fat. Make sure to read the labels to avoid starting your morning with an addition to your belly!

8. Frozen yogurtFrozen yogurt contains added sugar, which translates to extra calories. Look for the low-fat labels and indulge sparingly.

9. Rice cakesThese crispy treats can cause your blood sugar to spike, which in turn causes your body to store unwanted fat by slowing down its ability to burn it off. And beware of flavored rice cakes: They’re loaded with sodium.

10. GranolaAll those wonderful healthy things added together must be good for you, right? Wrong. Granola contains about 350 calories and 12 grams of fat per 3/4 cup — plus a ton of sugar. Low-fat or low-sugar granolas make for a better snack.

Natural Scrub For Sensitive Skin

Okay ill confess. I have suuuch a huge pore problem. Especially on my nose I have soo many blackheads eventhough I do a facial 1-2 times a month. So in between the facials I try to scrub my face as much as I can. I scrub my face 1-2 times a day but recently my skin therapist told me I should limit it to one time. To be honest, Im cheating. I now scrub my face in the morning and in the evening I use a natural little trick. I simply take a hand full of oats and with the oats in my fist i close my fist and hold it under hot water so only a small amount of water touches the oats to make it to a paste alike mixture, and then scrub my face with the oat paste. It feels so milky and soft and best of all its 100 percent natural, cheap and great for sensitive skin! :)

It's actually really simple. It's a tea! I've been drinking it for about 3 weeks and im already super amazed and want to share my secret with everyone! The tea is called get growing from The Republic of Tea. they have different sorts of teas that works as different problem solvers. Get growing is a herb tea for hair, nail and bones.. this is what the package says..

"A lucious little beauty treatment - that kind that works from inside out. This natural blend with horsetail, oatstraw, nettles and silica, delivers minerals for body and bones we don't always get in our diets.Sip it and look forward to more good hair days. "

So far i've noticed my nails are super strong and growing faster than ever, I don't really know if my hair grew(I think im just imagining it) but I'm absolutley gonna keep drinking it and see! I got if from Super Care pharmacy for 75 AED.

I can't wait until it's available in store im sure it's gonna be adorable and filled with cute pastell colors.. Here's a sneak-peak!

BEST Anti Acne Mask EVER!

Recently my skin hasn't been collaborating with me, I usually get breakouts veeeery rare but it's like my acne is making up for lost time and is all coming out to play now. So I tried a facemask i've heard a lot about but never really tried because im more into natural fruity stuff to put on my face but i was like what he hell im desperate!!

I took about 10-12 asprins and crushed them to powder and blended it with some turkish yogurt to make it a paste (im not sure if you should blend it with yogurt but it worked good for me) and it seriously dries out all those pimples right away BUT do nooot forget to use a rich moisturizer afterwards!

The Perfect Eyebrow Guide By Miss S..

First it's very important to know that even if you have a particular eyebrow shape in mind that you want, it may not suit your face shape.

Oval face shape – means your forehead is wider than the chin area. Cheek bones are quite large.
Round face shape – all areas are proportionate in width and length. The widest part is around the cheeks.
Square face shape – the forehead, cheek bones, and jaw line are all equal creating a shape of square.
Long face shape – if your face’s length is more than its width then your face is long, but it can be also oval or angular.
Diamond or heart face shape – the distinctive features of this face shape are wide cheek bones and narrow jaw line.

face shapes

Eyebrow shaping do's and don'ts:

*if you tweeze too much from the inner edge of the eyebrows it makes your eyes look smaller
*eyebrows should follow the line of the bone just above your eyes
*high arches are the best way to open up the eyes
*when tweezing grab each hair at the root and quickly yank in the direction of hair growth
*plucking too much from the bottom edge gives you a permanent look of surprise
*pull hairs out in the direction of growth one at a time
*never pluck daily

The Oval Face Shape:

If you are blessed with an oval face shape then consider yourself lucky, because that means almost any eyebrow shape will suit you. But I think a soft angled bow eyebrow is what suits this face best.

The Round Face Shape:

If you have a round face shape you should go for high arched eyebrows to make your face look a bit longer and less round (this also makes your face looks slimmer), stay away from rounded eyebrows!

The Square Face Shape:

The square face shape is defined by a strong jawline so you will want to go for a brow shape that balances out your jawline to give your face a softer look. An angled eyebrow with sharp peak balances the face. You should also keep them thin to complete the soft look.

The Long Face Shape:

To make the face look shorter you should go with a flat eyebrow style. This will make your face look a bit wider and more symmetrical. Keep the arch as low as possible.

Diamond/Heart Face Shape:

Just like with the square face shape you need to focus on softening your face shape. A curved eyebrow will make your wide cheekbonessofter and make your face look longer and more balanced.

Hope this guide solves all of your eyebrow problems ladies, keep looking faaaab =)
